Mekhrab is a farmer from the village of Paris, East Georgia. He is 56 years old, married, and lives with his wife, Dilara, and his 25 year-old son. Mekhrab’s son works as singer in a local restaurant. He is a musician.
Mekhrab and Dilara are leading the agricultural business of the family. They own 1.3 hectares of land, where potato, maize and pumpkins are grown. Mekhrab sells his products in Tbilisi (capital city of the country). Total average monthly income of the family is 900 Laris (approximately 540 USD).
Mekhrab requested credit to purchase seeds for potatoes. He will purchase quality seeds and sow them in the plot. During the winter, Mekhrab and Dilara will work hard in order to get a quality harvest. They hope that the weather conditions will be favorable as well, and will sell harvested products for a good price. The family will use the received income for improving family living conditions.
