Florence lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with 5 children, and all of them go to school. She operates a pub from a shop on a retail basis. She has been in business for the last two years. Florence works seven days a week.
She has requested a loan of 400,000 UGX from MCDT SACCO to buy more crates of beer and soda, and jerrycans of local brew. Besides this pub business she also generates additional income from selling charcoal. Her aspiration and goal is to expand into a wholesale pub so as to serve more customers. Her major business challenge is thieves and transportation.
She lives in her own house where the family has access to electricity but does not have access to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
