A loan of $500 helped to buy vegetables in greater quantity, and carry out some home repairs.

Nelida Estilita's story

Nelida is 33 and lives with her husband and children in their own house, which has all the basic services. It is located in the San Pedro de Lloc district, which is part of La Libertad department. People in this area make their living mainly from farming and livestock-raising.

Nelida is a street vendor, and sells vegetables in her local market. She has been doing this for several years, so she is well known and has her own clientele. The sales of her products have been gradually increasing, along with her income; and that is improving her family's quality of life.

She has applied to Edpyme Alternativa for a loan of 1,300 nuevos soles through the Capital Semilla program, and is going to use it to buy vegetables in greater quantity, and carry out a few home repairs. The increase in her sales will allow her to repay the loan and meet her household expenses.

Nelida is a person with many ambitions, and one of these is to have more home comforts for her family, through her hard work and effort.
