Orfa Lucia
Orfa is 45 years old and lives in the city of Bogotá, the beautiful capital of Colombia, with her husband and two children, aged 8. She has a business there designing and making household items. She started the business 6 years ago, taking advantage of the fact that her husband has taken a technical course and he taught her how to do art. She generates income with it now and is still developing her creativity. She decorates sheets of styrofoam to decorate parties, stores, schools and pre-schools as her main customers. At present, she is using her Kiva loan, her first loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With it, she will buy materials such as paints, glitter, and sheets of styrofoam. With these she will make decorations for Halloween, first communions, baptisms and theme parties for catering halls she works with. Her dream is to expand her business and have show place for her products to be more attractive to her customers and gain a bigger market share every day.

Orfa de 45 años vive en la ciudad de Bogotá, la linda capital de Colombia, con su esposo y sus dos hijos en las edades de 8 años. . Allí tiene un negocio, mediante el cual se dedica al diseño y elaboración de trabajos para el hogar, el cual inició desde hace 6 años, aprovechando que su esposo había realizado un curso técnico y le enseñó el arte, con el que hoy genera ingresos, y permanece desarrollando su creatividad, aplicada a láminas de icopor, que decoran las fiestas, los almacenes, colegios y jardines que son sus principales clientes. En la actualidad está aplicando a un credikiva, primer financiamiento que hace a la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, con el cual comprará materiales, como pinturas, escarcha icopor en láminas entre otros, con lo cual hará decoraciones de Halloween, primeras comuniones, bautizos y fiestas temáticas para las casas de banquetes con las que trabaja. Su sueño es ampliar su negocio y tener un local de exhibición de sus productos, para generar mayor atracción a sus clientes y ganar cada día mas mercado.
