Mohsen is a 35-year-old married man from Lebanon. He is living with his wife and two school-aged children. He has 15 years of experience working as a cultivator. His farm produces a wide variety of vegetables which are all sold to local markets. Today, he is asking to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase seeds in order to increase his business productivity. He will also use the loan to improve his land’s condition to make his farming work easier to complete.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
