Khodor is a 32-year-old married man from Lebanon. He is living with his wife and two children who are still attending school. He has owned a grocery store in his town since 2006 and has one part-time employee supporting him occasionally. He sells dairy and daily products. Today, he is asking to borrow $2,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to increase his store’s inventory of added merchandise needed, such as sweets, canned food, etc… In the future, he plans to sell vegetables also from his shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
