The '21 de Junio' community bank are about to start their eleventh loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Germán Busch regional office. The group has nine members and is run by a board of directors which is led by Dominga. The businesses that the members of the bank are engaged in are varied and include knotting blankets, selling cheese, macrame, selling juice and providing a public telephone service through VIVA.

Dominga says that she has been a member of a Pro Mujer community bank for eleven years and was invited to join by a friend. She currently has a business knotting blankets which she has had for five years. She learned this business from her mother.

Dominga will use this loan to increase her capital (buying tassels and fabric with which to make blankets). She will buy her supplies in the 16 de julio neighborhood and, once she has made her products, she will sell them in stores. This work enables her to make the income she needs to support her family. She is married and has three children.

When we asked Dominga what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replied that she likes the health services.

La A.C. “21 DE JUNIO” iniciará el decimo primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Germán Busch. Está compuesta por nueve integrantes dirigida por una mesa directiva encabezada por la señora Dominga. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: trenzado de mantas, venta de queso, macramé, venta de jugos, atención de punto VIVA.

La señora Dominga indica que hace once años que integra una asociación comunal en Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una compañera. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio trenzado de mantas que viene trabajando hace cinco años atrás, aprendiendo el mismo de su madre.

El crédito que sacará ahora es para el aumento de capital (compra de flecos y telas) para la elaboración de mantas que compra de la 16 de julio y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en los tiendas. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar en lo posible a su familia, pues ella es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta salud.
