Le groupement FIFA CHRISTON est formé de vingt cinq personnes qui habitent toutes dans le même quartier au Bénin. La représentante de ce groupe, nommée Amelin Alphonsine est celle dont la main est levée sur la photo. Amelin Alphonsine est âgée de 55 ans, et est mariée à un douanier du nom de Valère. Le couple a quatre enfants, tous à leur charge. Amelin Alphonsine n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Depuis une vingtaine d’année, Amelin Alphonsine vend des ustensiles de cuisine par le système de distribution ; ce qui permet d’assurer ensemble avec son mari les diverses charges de la famille. Amelin Alphonsine achète ses produits au Bénin et au Togo. C’est la deuxième fois que Amelin Alphonsine et les autres membres du groupement FIFA CHRISTON sollicitent un crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce crédit leur permettra de renforcer leur activité afin de mieux répondre à la demande de leur clientèle. Le premier crédit a été bien remboursé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
