Ziad is a 32-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents and only sibling. He has been working as a home painter since 2007. He works on a freelance basis, sticking with multiple projects. Today, he’s requesting to borrow $1,500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase scaffolding and new equipment needed. He reports that these purchases will enable him to provide his services to more customers. In the future, he hopes to further expand his business and continue his work properly.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
