Chansan, 30 years old, sells groceries, earning $7 per day. Her husband is a farmer who sells palm products, earning $2 per day. The couple has three children: two are studying and one is only 3 years old. Each month, Chansan spends $50 on food, $10 on electricity, and $10 on school fees. She would like to request a loan of $1,200 to buy a plot of land for farming. The loan will help her family have more land to farm to get more rice to sell and support the family.
