Aisha is a married woman. She has three children with two currently enrolled in school. Aisha operates a poultry business and sells her goods at the market. She's worked in this business for six months and her primary customers are wholesalers in town. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Aisha's other source of income includes her husband's earnings. She describes her greatest business challenge to be the dropping prices for chickens. Her largest monthly expense is food for her family.
Aisha will use the loan of 20,000 Kenyan shillings to purchase more chickens. Aisha aspires to expand into her own wholesale business in the future.
