Hesborn is 40 years old, married, and a father of 5 children, aged 23, 21, 18, 15 and 12 years old. His spouse is Beatrice, who is a small scale farmer but contributes to the family’s total income. Hesborn owns a timber yard where he sells timber to other traders. This business has been in operation for a period of 2 years, earning a monthly income of about Kshs 28,000.
Hesborn has just joined KADET LTD and borrowed a loan of Kshs 20,000. He wishes to use this amount to purchase trees for felling into timber. The profits will be used to pay school fees for his school-going children as well as repaying his borrowed amount.
He hopes to expand his business and own a plot of land.
