Mensim is 30 years old. He has had a grocery store for five years. He opened his store in 2006 because the neighborhood did not have this type of business. Mensim started with a small amount of capital. He sells milk, eggs, pasta, sugar, and other products.
Mensim is requesting his first loan from AqroInvest for 800 AZN, which he will use to buy supplies for his store. His dream is to own a store adjacent to his house and expand his business.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
