Juan Jose
Juan is a humble man and a hardworking businessman. His life partner works for a private business, this being additional income.

His project is to improve his quality of life with the profits obtained from his business. His business is the entertainment service of billiards, and at the same time he offers food, fried snacks, drinks, and other products.

When being without work some time ago made it difficult to survive, the opportunity of starting his business came up. This is a greater source of economic income that, up to now, has allowed him to work on improving the infrastructure of his home.

He will use the requested loan to buy construction materials: cement, cinderblocks, iron, rods, sand, gravel, wire, nails, and wood planks. He will build the south wall of his house and put in the floor for the business, since it's made of dirt, which is detrimental to the health of his customers and his family.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
