Nassim is a 28-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents and one sibling. He has five years of experience working with mobile phones. He opened his own store in 2006. With his loan requested of $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l., he will be able to increase his purchases of new mobile phones and prepaid telephone cards. The majority of mobile phone users in Lebanon purchase these prepaid cards. He reports that his income will be increased by 15% as a result of the loan. In the future, he is looking to further expand his business and increase its capital.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
