Nidal is a 42-year-old single woman from Lebanon. She is living with her parents and one sibling. She suffers from a paralysis in her legs. Even so, she has been selling women's accessories and dressmaking supplies since 2007. She also works as a tailor, sewing clothes and repairing the damaged ones. Today, she is asking to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added merchandise for her shop in order to strengthen her business and gain more income. This will be her fourth Kiva loan.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
