A loan of $3,100 helped a member to buy food stock and floor tiles for her workplace.

Nkel Group's story

Fabiola, who is in her late 30s, is married with three children, two of whom go to school. The oldest one is independent. She has been a food vendor for four years now. She works from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 4th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy land, a fridge, plastic chairs and food stock. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to renovate the place where she sells food by laying floor tiles and also to buy items missing from her food stock. Her dream is to, one day, be able to buy a car.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Nikel" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.

In this group: Fabiola, Yahya, Selemani, Joseph, Fatuma, Ashura, Joyce, Hawa*, Farida, Halima, Marry, Catrida, Marry, Madgarena, Erica, Zubeda*, Sifa, Juliana
