A loan of $375 helped to buy more food for her animals and make some repairs inside her house.

Carmen Manuela's story

Carmen, who is 55 years old, lives with her family in their own house. It has electricity and water service and is located in the urban zone of the district of Paijan, which belongs to the department of La Libertad. This zone is known for its agricultural and livestock-raising activities.

Carmen has raised and sold domestic birds (hens, turkeys, and roosters) for a number of years. Her poultry yard is located behind her house. It is roomy and accommodating, and she feeds them a balanced food and natural grains. Once they reach their ideal weight and size, she offers them for sale in different markets in the zone, and thus she obtains good earnings to pay the daily household expenses.

She has applied for a loan of 1000 PEN at Edpyme Alternativa to buy more food for her animals and to make some repairs in her house. With the income that she obtains she can cover her loan and improve the quality of life of her family. Carmen is a hard-working woman and is very responsible. The only thing that she wants is that her children aim higher and to improve economically so that she can offer them more advanced schooling.
