Julius is a resident of Muranga where he practices farming and runs a butchery business. He is married with three children, two of whom are adults and the third is 12 years old. Julius is 48 and currently employs two farmhands on his farm in Muranga, Central Kenya where he also lives with the family.
Julius has requested for a loan of 30.000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to construct a dairy unit. He says it will help protect his animals and improve his milk output as well as enable him buy more dairy cows. He also plans to improve the quality of his breeds.
Julius mentions drought as the major challenge in farming but remains optimistic and appreciates Juhudi Kilimo for their support through farming loans.
