Hened is a 47-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and four children, two of whom are still attending school. In 2007, she opened her own store where she started to sell home products. She also sells lingerie from her shop where she has prepared a small corner for that purpose. Today, she is requesting to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase additional home products to sell. She plans to reinforce her business operation, and her only target is to focus on one industry in order to be successful and earn satisfactory income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
