Rania is a 35-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and three children who are still attending school. In 2006, and after gaining the needed experience, she opened a clothing store in her town. She sells different types of clothes designed for all ages. Today, she is requesting a loan of $3000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to expand her store’s inventory for the coming winter season. She is very positive and hoping to open a new branch of her shop in the near future.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
