Juana De La Cruz
View original language description ↓
Making and selling homemade tortillas is a very common business in Nicaragua, specifically in the city of León, and because of this Mrs. Juana G. has been making tortillas for ten years, since she was very young. She began the business in the market at the terminal in León where, beginning early in the morning, every day she makes these delicious tortillas that are very popular with her customers. One problem that Juanita G. has is that, as a single mother caring for two children, she has to be the breadwinner for her family.

Ceprodel has given her financial support for one year. With the credits she’s obtained, she has invested in the purchase of raw materials to make her delicious tortillas with which she maintains her business and her family.
