Maria Nubia
View original language description ↓
For the past 14 years, in the city of León in the market at the bus station, María U. has sold clothing of all sizes and for all age groups. She has her own section, which has cost her a sizeable investment, and because she is a married mother with small children to support, she has managed to supply greater quantities of clothing for her business.

She started the business 14 years ago, walking through the market, exposed to the sun and to physical exhaustion from walking so much. Little by little she began to save so she could pay for an area inside the market until she finally got it.

Since she was able to get the section in the market, she has had 12 loans with Ceprodel, which have had a great impact on her because of the fact that she has bought greater quantities of clothing to offer and, in addition, has been able to sustain her home.

Translated from Spanish by Molly Puglisi, Kiva Volunteer.
