Damaris is a single woman with one school-going child. She lives in a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for her family.
She has operated a business selling second hand clothes for the past five years. In addition, she sells sodas and ice water, which contributes to her other source of income. Her potential customers are the community members. She faces a major challenge of price fluctuation of products in her business. She dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.
With the KSHS 20,000, she wants to purchase bales of second hand clothes for sale. She decided to join Yehu to save money and upgrade her business through taking a loan.
