Revaz is from the village of Gogasheni, South Georgia. He is 35 years old, married, and lives with his family: wife Nino, 9-year-old son, 7-year-old daughter, and mother (retired). His children go to school. Nino works as a teacher in the village. Revaz is leading the agricultural business of the family, which is the main source of income for them. They have six milk cows. Revaz and Nino produce and sell on average 120 kg of cheese per month. It is sold locally to the dairy-products retailers. They also have 7.5 hectares of land, where they grow potatoes, barley, and wheat. They sell harvested vegetables and corn locally to the greengrocery retailers. The family's average monthly income is 1100 GEL, including Revaz's mother's pension.
Revaz requested credit to purchase a tractor. He will provide tilling services to neighborhood farms to earn additional income. He will also significantly reduce the cost of cultivating his own lands by using his own tractor. Revaz plans to use the additional income for further development of his farm. The additional income will also allow the family to improve their living conditions.
