Mariam was born in 1983 and she lives with her mother, brother and sister-in-law in Yerevan. Her father works seasonally in the Russian Federation, which helps to cover his family’s needs.

Mariam has danced for more than 14 years; she graduated from Sofi Devoyan’s Soul and Dance Theatre and she has a dance teacher certificate. Besides dance, Mariam worked as a floral designer for more than 7 years. She says it is a very interesting and pleasing occupation, but not very profitable – so she decided to start her own business. She now rents a stall in the Yerevan Jeweler’s market, where she sells gold and silver wares which are produced by her brother in their home. At the same time, she is taking accounting courses in order to develop her knowledge of the economy which will help her in her business. Thanks to the jewelry trade Mariam and her family have solved the problem of meeting all their needs.

She is asking for a $3000 loan to buy gold for producing and selling.
