Hadjah is married with five children, two of whom go to school. She also takes care of additional family members. Hadjah has a business of selling bananas. She wants to use this loan to buy more bunches of bananas. She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 Ugandan Shillings (UGX) from MCDT SACCO. She has been in this business for 10 years.
Besides selling bananas, she generates additional income from rental houses. She sells her bananas at the market and sells to all categories of people at retail. Her major business challenges include the ever-increasing price of bananas and the rainy season.
Hadjah's goals and aspirations are to start going to villages of Masaka and Mbarara for bananas. She resides in a house which she owns and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Hadjah's greatest monthly expenses include school fees and electricity bills.
