Dalal is a 50-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and three school-aged children. She has established a computer business to help provide various types of reports and computer programs to members from her community and different companies. She is a relatively new business owner; she started her business operation two years ago. Today, she is requesting to borrow 2,000 USD from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase more equipment for her shop in order to build a larger clientele who are in need of computer services. In the future, Dalal looks for things to add that are of value so that her business can expand. This will be her second Kiva loan.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
