Pablita is 35 years old and married. She has two school-aged children to attend to. She resides in Calamba, Misamis Occidental, Philippines with the whole family.
Pablita owns and operates a specialized retail store in the local community. She offers some soft and hard drinks and most of the basic commodities. She has operated the business for over four years. She earns approximately PHP 9,500 a month. She has requested a loan of PHP 35,000 to purchase more soft and hard drinks to sell.
Pablita joined GDMPC earlier this year. She is looking forward to another loan after the total repayment of her current loan. She hopes to expand and improve the business to gain more income for the family and have her children finish a degree in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
