Señora Faustina is a dressmaker. She has been working in this trade for quite a while, and comments that she does very good work, so that people from the neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods come to her with their orders for sewing or bringing her other types of work. She say that thanks to this work and her daily self-sacrifice, she has been able to support her family and cover her daily expenses.
She is requesting the loan to buy fabric, thread, and other necessary supplies for her sewing workshop. She is very grateful to the Fundación for the opportunity they are giving, both to her and to the whole group.
La señora Faustina es modista, se desempeña en este oficio hace ya un buen tiempo, comenta que ella realiza muy buenos trabajos, por lo cual personas del barrio y zonas aledañas acuden hasta ella para hacerle pedidos de costuras o acercarle otro tipo de trabajo. Ella dice que gracias a este trabajo y al sacrificio diario ella logra mantener a su familia y cubrir los gastos diarios.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
