Riziki is a married woman with seven children; five attend school, while two are still too young for school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are school fees and food for the family.
For the past five years, Riziki has been selling charcoal and firewood to local residents in her area. She faces a major challenge of price fluctuations in her business. She dreams of expanding her business to meet her customers’ needs in the future.
With this 100,000 Kenyan shilling loan, she wants to purchase bundles of firewood and charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
