Mrs. Kan Y., age 62, is a widow and works growing vegetables and reselling them for about $5.90 each day of income. She has three children: one who works as a driver for a company; one who is a motor-taxi driver earning $2 each day; and one who is married and lives separately. She would like to request a loan of $1000 in order to purchase cashew nuts from the growers and resell them for a profit.
