Hussein is a 29-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents and three siblings.
He has been working as a mechanic for more than 15 years. In 2009, he opened his own car repair shop. His job consists of changing cars oil. Today, he is asking to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase additional mechanical tools and supplies needed. He is sure that with this purchase he will be able to meet his business needs and the requests of his customers.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
