Ahmad is a 51-year-old married man from Lebanon. He is living with his wife and three children. In 2005, he started selling a wide range of Lebanese food products such as bread in order to support his family. And today, he is requesting to borrow $1500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase additional products to sell. He will also perform the needed maintenance on his car to facilitate products delivery throughout towns and villages. This will be his second Kiva loan. It’s positive to learn that he has indeed increased his sales and income since taking the first loan. In the future, Ahmad plans to open his own grocery store.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
