Mrs. Tet is 62 years old. She is the mother of four lovely children. Two of them are married and live independently and other two live with her.
Currently, she generates income as a vegetable planter. She has been running this business for many years. From this business activity, she can earn about $2 each day. She is a resident of Baray District, Kompong Thom Province, Cambodia. To upgrade her living, she would like to purchase some farmland but she is lacking funding so she wishes to apply for a loan from HKL and Kiva partners. She hopes that all donors will provide this loan to her soon. The loan will provide her support in meeting her financial needs and improving the quality of the product and her agricultural activities.
Mrs. Tet characterizes herself as an honest woman, honorable and very responsible, prompt with her payments. Her hope in the future is to have a larger house. This is her first loan with Kiva and the second cycle with Kiva's partner.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
