Nam and her husband are blessed with two children who are attending a local public school. Presently, this family lives in a narrow house and some parts of it are broken down. It is so hard for them to live in. They really need to buy a new house which is bigger than current house, but their cash on hand is not sufficient to purchase one.

To solve the problem, Nam would like to request a loan to purchase a new house. With this loan, it will allow her and her family members to live a comfortable life. In the future, Nam plans to enlarge her fertile farm in order to get more profit, have a well-organized house for her own family as well as sending her children at least to high school level.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
