Seyyub, age 37, sells and trades in home products in the small settlement of Bilasuvar city. His monthly income from the business is $250 USD. He also keeps cows and sells dairy products to the local market. He and his wife have two children.
He has applied for a loan in the amount of 600 AZN in order to purchase one calf as well as items to stock in his shop.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
