Boyukhan is a hardworking father with responsibility for taking care of his wife and three children, who are the driving force for his work. Every day, early in the morning, Boyukhan leaves to take care of his farmland, which he irrigates and fertilizes so his crops will produce well, and then when the harvest comes he can have good quality products to sell for his income, which is 240 USD. He has four years of experience in this field. His son also helps him with his business. One of his dreams is to build a big house one day. He is asking for the current loan to buy seed, fertilizer and other supplies necessary for farming their land and increasing their crop production.
Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded by a group of 32 Imishli farmers in 2001, and has grown to become one of the largest credit unions in Azerbaijan. It boasts a portfolio of nearly $5 million and is wholly owned by its more than 3,500 borrowers, as of December 2011.
