Mohammad is a 32-year-old young man. He is married with three sons and two daughters. He is a Palestinian National Authority employee with a modest salary, and he also has another source of income from driving the taxi he owns.
Mohammad wants to make some repairs to his taxi, but the amount of money he has isn't sufficient, so he wants to take a loan of $1,000 from Kiva partner, FATEN. When Mohammad gets the loan, which is to be repaid on a monthly basis, he will be able to pay for making the repairs that the taxi needs. This will increase his taxi's efficiency and allow Mohammad to work extra hours and improve his family income and living conditions.
