Mrs. Chhem is a 45-year-old married woman who has three children: two of them are married and live independently and another child is single. She is a hardworking woman and provides her family with a good living situation.
Presently she is working as a sewing factory worker in Phnom Penh city where she can earn enough salary for each month. For an upgrade to their standard of living, she needs to request some funds from donors. The purpose of her loan is to purchase a cow. She hopes that this business will help her family gain additional profit.
She is very thankful to all kind lenders that help her family. In the future she is expecting to open a grocery store in front of her house, and to have a comfortable house.

The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
