Ngan is 35 years old, married and has two children. She lives with her husband and children in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ngan and her husband earn money by cooking and selling sweet soup. She intends to use her loan to buy ingredients and different types of beans, such as soya beans and green beans, to cook a variety of sweet soups. Doing so will help Ngan attract more clients and increase her earnings.
She hopes that this will help her improve her family's living conditions and enable her to set aside some savings.
