Akouavi Kobéro
Miss Akouavi Kobéro J. is 30 years old and single. As the eldest daughter born into a poor family, she had to leave school very young in order to work and to help out her parents. So she started work in a shop selling pagnes (decorated fabric draped round the waist to form traditional tunics for both men and women) and jewelry. Thanks to this small income she was able to provide for her parents and her four brothers and sisters. After obtaining a loan of $650, Miss J. opened her own shop selling pagnes and jewelry. However, she only has limited means to satisfy the increasing demands of her fast growing clientele. In order to meet these demands, Miss J. is requesting a loan of $1200 which she will use to fund the purchase and resale of pagnes, jewelry and other items. The experience which Miss J. has built up in this field is the key to the success of her project.
