Mr. Tho is located in Siem Reap Province of Cambodia. He is 44 years old, a widower, and has three children. All of his children are living under his care and are of school age. To raise his children in a good situation and with a good education, Mr. Tho always works hard every day for his children’s future.
Currently, Mr. Tho is able to use his daily income of around $5 USD each day, earned as a car driver. In order to upgrade their living, Mr. Tho would like to purchase a plot of land for building a new house, but he faces a problem with the financial factor. That is the reason why Mr. Tho has requested some funds from HKL and Kiva.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
