She still lives and works in the town where she was born. She sells shoes from a catalog of a well-known company, work she has been doing for the last eight years. It is going very well. As well, she sells beauty products.

Vilma needs a loan to buy more merchandise such as shoes. Her dream is to buy a car so she can use it as a taxi within the urban area where she lives.

She is a member of the Milenium III Community Bank which meets every month in Calca in the department of Cusco, Peru. The town is known for its tourist areas, its commerce, and its traditional festival Inti Raymi. As well it is the home of one of the seven wonders of the world, Machupicchu.
