Samwel is 49 years old and married with 4 children, all attending school. He has been in farming in his hometown of Litein for 4 years and currently employs one farmhand and produces milk for the local market.
Samwel has made a request for a 50,000 KES loan from Juhudi Kilimo to help him purchase and insure a dairy cow. He says the dairy business will help him pay for the education of his children. He also plans to construct a dairy unit with the income.
He sees scarcity of animal feeds as the common challenge in the business.
