Miguel, originally from Argentina, knows the importance of good-tasting meat. In May 2010, he started a business buying “vegetal carbon” from South America and selling it to local supermarkets and stores in Florida. Vegetal carbon is a vegetable-based charcoal, which is 100% natural with no chemical additives. Hear it from him, in his own words: "You can take a piece of meat and bar-b-que it with normal charcoal and it will taste like chemicals and oil. Take that same piece of meat and cook it with natural vegetable charcoal and the meat smells and tastes completely different."
Since Miguel has been in business, he has been actively searching for the best ways to structure the business, where to import from and who to sell to. Miguel hopes to continue obtaining new sales and wants to become a large scale distributor of the product. He will use this loan as initial capital to import large quantities of charcoal and expand inventory.
