Kokou
Kokou J. was born in Tsévié in 1960. Coming from a humble family, he had to quit school in the 9th grade due to a lack of support. He had to go abroad to work. There, he was a cook in a restaurant up until he turned to his native land. With his savings, he started his own shop in 1990 selling items such as white rice, oil, cookies, drinks, and so forth. Then, to bolster his business, he made use of a $550 loan, which he repaid without a problem. An efficient man, he has complete mastery of his business. He is both honest and energetic, and he is married to a hairdresser. They have two children in middle school. Kokou’s business could be better developed if he had more loan capital, for he manages money well.

The loan of $1,200 that Mr. J. is currently requesting will serve as capital to stock up on sacks of corn and beans, mineral water, and various other items. It will also serve to open another sales outlet. Thus, he will be able to increase his business and augment his income in order to improve the living conditions of his family.
