Bakitnur is a 52-year-old farmer from the Tuyp village. He is married and is raising two sons. Prior to the break-up of the Soviet Union, Bakitnur had worked as a veterinarian at a collective farm and then decided to start his own animal husbandry business after the break-up. Starting with a sum of 20,000 som (KGS), Bakitnur was able to develop his business to yield a monthly income of about 28,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop his business, he requested a loan in the sum of 80,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy calves for fattening up. He plans to use the income from this loan for repair his house and further increasing livestock headcount.
