Elias is a 36-year-old Lebanese single man living with his father. He started working as a car mechanic at a very young age in order to support his father financially. And in 1996, this man opened his own car repair shop. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to improve his business by purchasing a scanner machine to be able to serve more customers in less time. He is optimistic about his business development and hopes to further expand his business and gain a higher income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
