Francisco has lived in a community far from El Torno for 21 years. He lives in San Carlos, a small town that is 28 kilometers from Limoncito. He owns a parcel of land where he lives and does agricultural work.
He is married to Isable, a housewife. They have eight children, and they all work with their father doing the farm work. He grows corn, watermelon, peanuts, and yucca. He also devotes himself to livestock. They all help their father plant, and everything they grow they take to sell at the El Torno market.
Francisco works with Emprender because it is the only institution that has offered him help. The loan that he has requested is to plant watermelon and corn and for the expenses that are involved in preparing the land.
They are a very close and hard-working family. They are grateful for the support that the institution has provided.
